It's time to apply for membership for the 2026 garden season! Because of increased expenses (including water!!), we have had to raise our dues to $175 per membership to balance our budget. We hate doing this but we haven't raised our dues since 2019!
Please use this link: https://forms.gle/t4EDimMK68AAJk6k7 to apply. You may have to copy/paste because I'm not technologically savvy (.....and could really use the help from someone who could manage our website!) If there is an additional household member who will be gardening regularly, please make sure to provide their information as well. Knowing this information helps me balance the teams. Please send your check for $175, payable to The Posh Squash, c/o Jim Nybakken, P.O. Box 1861, Gualala, CA. 95445. Dues must be received by Feb. 1. Members are expected to work three hours per week during the garden season (March 1 - November 13.) We plan work assuming that gardeners will be there so when people don't show up, it's harder on the rest of the team to get the work done. We realize that people do have situations (travel/illness) that may prevent them from attending. If that is the case, we encourage you to garden on another day but more importantly, let your Day Leader know so they can plan accordingly. We will hold an ALL GARDEN MEMBER Meeting on Sunday, February 22 starting at 1pm (Del Mar Hall). We will talk about the garden and how the teams work together. Please plan to attend this important meeting. We hope to have you with us next year! All the best, Roberta Boomer Chair, Posh Squash Garden Our garden season starts the week of March 1 and runs through November 14.
The Posh Squash recently visited Singing Frogs Farms in Sebastopol, California, to learn more about the no-till, regenerative farming methods they utilize to grow wonderful vegetables and flowers for their CSA and local farmers' markets. 2026 Saturday Watering Sign up
Here is the link to the 2026 Saturday Watering page: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4BADA72AA6FCC52-61833127-posh As part of garden membership, each gardener committed to watering on one Saturday during the garden season (March 3-Nov. 14). Watering needs to be started not later than 10am on Saturdays. If you sign-up for a day and find that you cannot do it, you must find a replacement for yourself. In addition, please let your day leader know. The week prior to your watering day, we recommend that you tag along with your team waterer so you are familiar with the watering procedure. I also recommend connecting with the other people who signed up for watering on that day to coordinate. Please know that if it is raining, Saturday watering will still need to be done. Our seedlings under remay will need to be watered and depending on the amount of rain, other beds may need to be watered. if you have questions about it, please reach out to your Day Leader.
