2 knots to use in the garden

Learn how to tie a quick release knot and a half-hitch.
​These two knots will be all you need to know. Do not use double knots for tying hoops with ropes or when storing watering systems because they are difficult to remove.







Planting with dibber to get the plant down deep.

Give a new plant the best possible start by dibbing down deep into the soil. Brassicas like broccoli and cabbage need to be buried the deepest, way past their natal leaves up to their first pair of true leaves. Other crops should be buried 1/3 past the soil line up the stem so their roots start off deeper to access water and nutrients.
