What's new in the garden?

FREE bare root strawberry and raspberry plants available right now!

2/5/2021

There are many "Seascape" strawberry plants that need to find new homes and be adopted. They are located at the group picnic table in flats placed on the ground. Please bring your own box or bag and take as many as you like but please leave the 12"x12" trays there. We will leave the plants there for a week or two then donate them. Plant them in good compost and in full sun.

Raspberry bare root "Tula Magic" are in the white bucket and bare root "Carolina" are in the black bucket located by the strawberry flats near the upper picnic tables. Plant them in well composted soil, full sun.

    2026 Saturday Watering Sign up

Here is the link to the 2026 Saturday Watering page:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4BADA72AA6FCC52-61833127-posh

As part of garden membership, each gardener committed to watering on one Saturday during the garden season (March 3-Nov. 14).

Watering needs to be started not later than 10am on Saturdays.

If you sign-up for a day and find that you cannot do it, you must find a replacement for yourself.  In addition, please let your day leader know.

The week prior to your watering day, we recommend that you tag along with your team waterer so you are familiar with the watering procedure.  I also recommend connecting with the other people who signed up for watering on that day to coordinate.

Please know that if it is raining, Saturday watering will still need to be done.   Our seedlings under remay will need to be watered and depending on the amount of rain, other beds may need to be watered.  if you have questions about it, please reach out to your Day Leader.
