tThings might slow down a bit, but the garden never sleeps...
From November through March a small group of gardeners maintains our over-wintering crops, and make sure the garden is ready for an explosion of planting in the Spring. Another small group plants, maintains, and waters lettuce and a few other crops in the hoop house. Instead of daily work crews, we have a small hoop house crew and about a half dozen work parties that get together to keep things going in the entire garden. In exchange for their efforts, these gardeners may continue to pick the limited crops in the garden and receive small amounts of lettuce and such from the hoop house. Hoop house crops are picked by just a few assigned gardeners, and are distributed to gardeners that attend work parties.
